The municipal Cornudella terme, amb 62,70 km ², és the més extens of the region. There limits amb Porrera (S), the Mulberry of Montsant (W), Ulldemolins (NW), Vilanova de Prades (N), terme that pertany to Conca de Barberà, Prades (NE), the Febró (E) i Arbolí (KNOW), tots three municipis of the region of Baix Camp, i in a punt to amb l'Alforja, terme that també pertany to aquesta region. Muntanyes de Prades is troba to the tall vall of the riu of Siurana, between els massissos of Montsant, to ponent (that culminates here to the Rock Corbatera, to 1 166 m) i they, to llevant (the Gritella, 1 093 m), units pel coll d'Albarca (sector N of the terme).

Between els edificis més interessants of the població hi there is l'església arxiprestal of Santa Maria dated to the segle XVII, of the first Renaixement català. To l'interior shell is a Gothic imatge of Mare de Déu of the Patrocini.

To the peu of the Montsant hi is l'ermita of Sant Joan of the Codollar, orgull dels cornudellencs. The primitive chapel, of the segle XII, there is sofert diverses reconstruccions i ampliacions. The current construcció dates of 1780.
